Our Sustainability Action Plan
On December 13 of last year, we held an important company-wide meeting with all of our teams. Our goal was to develop a practical, long-term plan to make our business more sustainable.
Upgraded Product Packaging
This year, our dedicated logistics team began shipping products unboxed in containers directly from our main factory to our U.S. warehouses. Once they arrive, we package each item in compact, protective boxes and ship it straight to your door. This process helps reduce packaging waste, supports a more sustainable approach, and speeds up delivery to customers across the United States.
Developing Sustainable Products
Our product development team has begun the long-anticipated transition from Brazilian cowhide leather to the latest eco-friendly vegan leather. Today, 98% of our leather products are vegan-based, helping protect animals while significantly reducing carbon emissions.
Putting the good in goodbye
Our Customer Care team has taken meaningful steps to support our communities while inviting customers to join us in acts of kindness during challenging times. As part of our returns process, we encourage customers to donate items that are not eligible for a refund to a local charity. Last year, with the help of our customers, our Customer Care team helped donate 400 chairs—reducing furniture returns while creating more comfortable and beautiful spaces in communities across the U.S.
Boosting Employee Engagement in the Office
Our operations team is committed to reducing our monthly energy consumption. During the winter months, we consolidate two workspaces onto a single floor to help lower electricity use and reduce our overall environmental impact.
Energy Saving
This year, our design team partnered with a specialized cloud-based rendering service to streamline our visualization process. This change has improved efficiency while helping reduce our overall energy use.
